Marinello proudly sponsored the Top Idol Model Search competition on the ETTV network this year. The competition auditions started on July 10th, with the finale ending on September 3rd at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in El Monte, CA. Semi-finalists competed for the ultimate title of Top Idol: Model Search Winner and the chance to become the honorary runway model of J’s Show in Yokohama, Japan on Nov. 16, 2010. As a top sponsor, Marinello made one lucky girl’s day by rewarding her with the “Marinello Top Model” award. As a result of interview Q & A’s and “Top Model” criteria, the award was presented to Russian born Anna Bazarkina.
Anna, 25, was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia. Since she was a little girl, she has always had a love for art in all shapes and forms. “I wanted it all,” she said. At the age of 7, she was already taking acting, piano, English, singing, and dance classes. At age 14 she focused on just acting and dancing and decided to attend Mussorgsky Music College part-time while also attending high school. In 2003, she received her diploma in performing arts. She worked in Music Hall Theater for about 10 years, where she got to perform in numerous musicals, including a few lead roles. She wanted to continue her education and pursue a more stable career so she decided to get her degree in public relations, graduating in 2006. Upon graduation, she realized that PR was not for her and further pursued her love of acting, prompting her to move to LA in 2006.
