For each of you out there, today is 1/1 New Years Day, and every New Years I do an exercise called the $500- haircut.
I imagine I am going to get a haircut that is $500-. I imagine every detail of the experience, whether it's walking into the salon, or consulting with the stylist.
I imagine what the stylist would look like, how they are dressed, what their hair looks like, etc.
I imagine what their station would look like, every detail.
This exercise usually takes me about 30min and I write down notes if anything in my dream experience is different than my clients experience and I make sure that I change it to become consistant with my idea of a $500- haircut. This way every year I provide more for my clients than I did the year before.
Please do this experiment with yourself, I am positive that you will see you customer service take a huge step up each year and that your clients will notice.
