Bio

Northern Irish born hairstylist Leon Gorman began his career in Belfast following the encouragement of his hairdresser mother. In 1987 he left belfast and headed for london, interested in advancing his career, he started working for Toni and Guy . He traveled for 10 years as a education Art Director with the creative team working on shows all over the world and finally landing in Sydney and breaking into the fashion industry. In 1997 leon moved to New York City where he has since established himself as a session stylist working for Cutler NYC and Redken , he has also worked with many fashion photographers like Ben Watts, Mark Squires, Mark Abrahams, Kelly Klein, Matt jones, Greg Kadel, Vincent Peters, Francois Nars, Pamela Hanson, Tierny Gearon, Miles Aldridge, Patrick Demarchelier,Yelena Yemchuk, Claudia Stefar Knoepfel, Regan Cameron and many many more. His feminine, sexy, edge and unique work has appeared among the pages of fashion publications such as American, German, British, Australian and Japanese Vogue, English Italian and American Elle, Harpers bazaar, Marie Claire, I.D., Pop, Another Magazine, Glamour, Lâ"Uomo Vogue, Visionaire and V Magazine. Leon has also worked with celebrities such as Charlize Theron, Cate Blanchette, Ellen Barkin, Marisa Berenson, Lucie de la Falasie, Chloe Sevigny, Rebecca Romijn, Jessica Biel and Ann Hathaway. After assisting Guido and Eugene Souleiman for many years in Paris and Milan, he now collaborates on the runway with fashion designers such as Cynthia Rowley, John Richmond, Nanette Lepore, Gabriele Coloangelo, Luisa Beccaria and Carlos Miele. Leon is married, lives and works between New York and Europe.
