I am looking for different ways salons manage their color use and inventory. We have a commission based salon that does not deduct color costs from service totals. I do know that this is the way most salons cover their color costs. We have installed a no-waste program that calculates the average amount of color by length and appilication. Isn't it time to make a difference between what is being done? A one length haircut takes a different time than a layered haircut or Graduation. and if you foul-up a graduation cut its not that you can fix it. Its done, and its so much more difficult than a layered haircut. If a Layered haircuts not perfect out with the round brush and hey presto. Maybe its time to have a charge for one length and another for layering and MORE for graduation?
