Bio

Starting at VanMichael Salon in 1987 I assisted Van Council for a year and a half. Two years after earning my chair I was asked to participate in my first VanMichael hair show in 1989 at Ontario Place; Toronto, Canada!
Also, starting in 1989 Van and Michael asked if I could be one of the first educators in the newly formed VanMichael training program. For fifteen years I had the honor of teaching the VanMichael cutting system to all employees entering our salon which helped create brilliant stars like Brandon Darragh, Len Thompson, Harry Wood and Daniel Holzberger!
In 2004 Van asked if I would help with our first expansion salon, in the trendy Virginia Highlands area of Atlanta. To this day I wonder what he was thinking? Maybe payback for all the mornings I arrived late?!?
I became the first Salon Director which is still my current job fifteen years later! I love it!
In all, thanks to Van and Michael believing in me I have travelled to amazing places and been a part of numerous shows nationally and global - which I never would have thought possible...... just cutting hair!
I also have had the opportunity to work with renowned photographers Liz VonHoene, Lou Friedman, Nancy Nolan, Rob Brinson, Arthur Elgort, Bill Reichart, Ben Vigil, Nicole Sloan and more!
I also have had been blessed with having work featured in all local Atlanta magazines as well as national and global hair and fashion magazines such as Hairdressers Journal, American Salon, Modern Salon, Passion, Asia Passion, Peliqueiros, Elle, Vogue, German Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Esthetica, Glamour, Paper, and W!
