People in our industry tend to either love or hate contests/competitions. It seems like it's getting even more popular. (RAW, Shear Genius, etc.) At Rizzieri Aveda School (where I teach) we encourage students to enter many of the student competitions like Beacon. I feel that it can help lead into great opportunities. "The Cricket SilkComb Pro20... Love the size and feel of these combs. My only gripe is, I wish they made them in a different color. Theyre that light tan/ivory color, and scissor over comb on blondes gets to be a bit eye numbing ..."
