So it has been an amazing year. NAHA 2010 was a dream come true. From that I had a surg of stylist 'wanting' to work for me. i say wanting because, i am known in this area for being hard to work for. I have high standards and i expect a lot from my stylist. if you can't deliver, you can't stay.... so for me to have people all of a sudden wanting to interview with me took me back. I run into this a lot... Stylist that want to be platform artist. Not a bad dream to have, but what I also find to be a common ideal is that this dream comes without work and experience. Stylist fresh out of school looking to companies to use them for platform work. This is the equivalant to hoping to go into the NBA from high school. Yeah, everyone wants to be LaBron James, but the likely hood is slim to none. I wonder where we have gone wrong in the education process that we have mislead…

This is one subject that I am not sure of what I believe... Took a class from a great cutter over the weekend... and I mean great! (Randy Taylor) During the class he mentioned his salon location and that due to that he was limited on what he could charge. Now I also live in a small town, but I charge a good bit more. So this started a discussion between my lead stylist and I, on the way home, about pricing.

So I wish I had something useful to say everyday... but most days I dont. Well, yesterday brought up a fresh issue... HATERS! So here is my take on it. (some venting and some words of wisedom)

Just did the Twilight/Daybreak formula + 20 volume on a starting level 6...a true sandy blond. She was wavy texture, medium type, medium density.
So pretty. clear and shiny. Try that one.
