- I have been doing hair for 13 years now and every day is a learning experience....my passion is to cut hair using the straight razor. i was introduced to the straight razor by a gentleman named gerard. gerard owned a hair salon in brooklyn and traveled to the salon i was working at in jersey to teach a class in straight razoring....after he cut the models hair and finished her i was hooked!
I then started taking classes at bumble to further my education in straight razor hair cutting...they taught me so many great techniques but after taking many of their classes i began to realize that bumble's main goal was to SELL products. They put too much emphasis on selling products rather than mastering the craft.
My hairdressing career changed drastically after buying an arrojo dvd. i watched that damn thing a hundred times and everytime i watched it i picked up something new...Finally i just bit the bullet and went to one of his classes at his salon in soho. It was by far the best experience you could ask for. Now, everytime i am feeling stale or uninspired i just book a class there!
