- Music can often define a generation. Certainly, it can be influential in molding fashion and culture. And in 1990 bands like Motley Crue, Whitesnake and Warrant dominated the charts while their signature looks inspired popular youth culture. This lead to an auspicious start for a young man from Boston trying to unlock the secrets of gravity defying hair.
With a strong knowledge of art, music, fashion and photography David has pushed the envelope of modern hairdressing for over 17 years. His skills have been featured in many national and international publications as well as multiple television appearances and on the fashion runways of New York and London. In 1998 David was named "Educational Ambassador" for the world's second largest hair color company. This led to extensive international speaking appearances. David has also worked to create signature looks for major salons in Boston, New York and Atlanta.
In 2001 David joined the Van Michael Salon team as "Creative Director" for hair color. Since then, he has joined the Van Michael team on stage at major educational events around the country and abroad. As well as teaching, he maintains a full book of clients at Van Michael's flagship salon in Buckhead. David is consistently the top stylist in a company of over 300 employees.
David's personal commitment to excellence by creating signature looks for each client keeps him in heavy demand. Clients receive a skin tone and eye color analysis to help create a color that compliments them entirely. Combined with a no-nonsense approach to his craft, he is one of Atlanta's most sought after colorists.
