Bio
Biography: Dale Ted Watkins, Founder, CITY.BOY™
CITY.BOY™ is My vision. I have drawn on my skills and background to create a fresh NEW men’s hairdressing training company that teaches real skills in an innovative learning format. It’s the realisation of a long-held ambition to deliver student centred training that appeals to all ‘learner’ types and blend it with inspirational men’s hairdressing techniques using state of the art computer graphics to help learners understand how each haircut is constructed. I began my commitment to hairdressing in 1983, since then I have worked for landmark industry names such as Vidal Sassoon and The Refinery. My CV is studded with accomplishments that have taken me around the globe. I established London’s first men’s spa and cared for celebrity clients including Sasha Baron Cohen and Guy Ritchie. I have appeared on stage at some of the world’s largest trade shows and worked in cities from Sydney to Stockholm. I try to create street inspired, edgy imagery that truly pushes the boundaries.
The thread that binds all my experiences is my twin compulsions to teach others and learn more. I have a down-to-earth nature and have honed my skills to make myself an authentic teacher who is always ready to question the status quo. In recent years I have spent time studying graphics and teaching students with CITYBOYdistinctive teaching style.I have dedicated time to teaching in colleges and higher education and private academies in the UK, Working along side icons such as Joshua Galvin.

Just got back from Blackpool my friend. You have to see some of the photo's, I'm not sure about the whole thing. On the one hand I can appreciate the skill in creating some (not all) of the looks but, I couldn't get the question out of my head "is this hairdressing? really?" Hopefully we'll catch up soon.
Grade 2 is very good Dale well done. I have to do observations around the college at the moment but I can't say it is always a pleasant experience. Anyway sounds good. I hope to be meeting up with Charmaine who has done some work on my hairdressers. She has a salon in town and is interested in maybe doing something for the students (do you know her?) Also I will be going to the Blackpool National Hairdressing Championships with two of our students who are entered there. Gotta drive the bus up there on the 13 th of March I have never been to one of those things so might be interesting I'll let you know. Speak soon.
