It’s a long drive from my school back home; it’s nearly an hour and a half. I probably didn’t really think that through really well when I enrolled, but I’m not the kind to think too hard when my heart tells me it wants something. A tragic flaw at times but sometimes it works in my favor. This evening is one of those. It gave me enough time to ruminate on what had transpired on the floor that evening.

Some of the best advice I’ve received came from a tai chi instructor I once had. She had said that when during your journey you felt you’d lost your way, the best thing you could do is go back to the beginning. So I did, I left California for my home state and as I sat in Wisconsin again I wondered what it was she could have meant. “Here I was universe; I’d gone back to the beginning…Now what?”
