Padded mats under styling chair.

What are some of your thoughts on the padded mats under styling chairs? I feel like they are an eye sore, and unnecessary if you wear the proper shoe with support. How can a mat under a hard shoe sole do anything for you?

Yes, I'm working for the Navy Exchange,is a big salon & spa they have about 50 stylists,nail techs & estheticians. It was at first very challenging and different because is a government facility and they have a lot of rules and regulations but now I love it! good clientele only work 3 days a week and the $$$ is good.
