An ever so bold yet monochromatic palette is the study of diPietro Todd's Creative Director + Stylist, Akemi Tamaribuchi, + Colorist Emily Kern. This series of photos captures the deepest expression of pale, utlizing the blonde + nude canvas on model Sarah Abney. This styling exercise balances extreme shine + lacquered texture next to the matte, soft, airy quality of a set.
The color was inspired by the porcelain-like quality of Abney’s skin. Kern created a strong + powerful blonde on fine hair. With a strong base + some highlighting, the color also welcomes texture.
Playing off of this delicate + soft colored appearance, Tamaribuchi sculpted an unexpected yet sleek + sultry combination of wet + dry texture on a classic one length shape. This collection uses the theories of shape, balance, + texture to study matte, sheen, + shine on perfectly pale hair. Enjoy!
