Comment by Rob Schumske on October 14, 2011 at 8:51am Hey Vincent!
I love education anywhere I can get it, and in this day and age its everywhere. I was pretty lucky to start my career under some really great (not world renowned) classic haircutters. Working with classic cutters early in my career really shaped the way I approach hair. I'm a "connect the dot" dot kinda hairdresser who loves clean shapes, but I can step outside of the box too. I really like to try and teach people how to cut hair versus teaching certain haircuts.
Where am I going to be teaching from? and what are my fees?
I will be teaching from quite a few different sources, I plan on auditioning for the Aveda purefessional program and I have a few other ideas for the independent educator side of things. I really enjoy seeing the light bulb turning on inside peoples head and thats the real driving force behind my educator journey. I really havent thought about my "education" fees. My day rate for the salon is $1200, but I dont think my education rate will be anything close to that for a while.
How are things up north?
