they all suck ,the bane of my existensce i seem to go through about 1 a month!

I have a Solis s401 Skyline dryer that I've been using for 10 years. My first one lasted me 14 years- I did have to replace the cord once after the connection blew but it was a champ. I did try a Solano Sirocco, but I hated it- controls were left handed. Then I tried a Baybaliss- arched and sparked in the middle of a blow dry, heat element  died plus it blew so hard I was blow drying anyone within 12 ft of me (i.e. me co-workers and their clients, not to mention the merriment it did to end papers!. A few others in there and I went back to the Solis. I do want and need a lighter weight dryer and much quieter one, any advice folks?

i love my FHI salon pro 2000... it itsnt too heavy, has lasted me for a few years and it gets ultrahot~!!!

I have an FHI 1900 that I loved for its weight (12 oz only!!!) And power.....but after only 8 months of using it there is a short somewhere :(

I'm loving my little TGR 4000i (after getting over the unnecessarily high-tech name). Tiny, powerful little sucker (ahem..blower). Lightweight. Looooooooooong cord (no more accidental strangulations!). It's also ionic, but I still don't know what that actually means. The only downfall is its SO tiny you can burn yourself on the nozzle during intense round brushing.

I love my tgr400i!! Had it for years, it's on it's second motor, second housing, dropped, melted, been all over the states and still runs awesome.

Best "mini" dryer, velecta paramount dryers are the best

Beats: solano, tigi, twinturbo, Paul Mitchell, babyliss, t3, rusk, centrix, bio ionic.

So far i have seen the best results with the Twin Turbo 3900. They get stronger and smaller each time they make a new one, and they always leave a healthy shine. I dont think its a heavy dryer, but some of my co-workers seem to think so. Dryers usually last me about 6 months before they start acting up, and then i give them to my friends. They seem to survive then :)

I have been using a Speed Freak by Rusk for almost a year and I love this thing. It is a little weighty but has good balance. Now that I've bragged on it tomorrow it will blow up.

just got the new Twinturbo 3500. its great. light strong, a little loud but ive yet to find a diffuser that fits. the Twinturbo 2800 is a great classic for them. cant go wrong with italian dryers
